Like its more renowned cousin, Albariño, this 100% Godello is crisp and fresh with light peach notes and a floral finish. Cool climate Spain is arguably producing some of the best fresh white styles in the world.
In the vineyard, you can see clearly two different types of soil: a sandy hillside planted with the variety Godello where the bright reflections from ground quartz maximize the concentration of white Godello.
The grapes are manually harvested in mid-September and immediately undergo a cold maceration before pressing. The must is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at 15C° for around 15 days.
Drink this with just about any seafood you can get your hands on. If you don't do seafood - a lovely apero or accompaniment to light white meats and fresh veg.
