Typically ripe red fruit nose reminicent of black cherries. The palate is equally ripe and fruity while retaining the freshness and typicity expected of Claret. Nicely balanced tannins (obvious but not overpowering) make for a very approachable wine.

Château Berjuquey, one of Bordeaux's most consistent estates, is situated in Mérignas in Gironde. M.Bonnefin, the vigneron owner, who inherited his grandparents passion for growing vines, manages the vineyards sustainably, working with Entres deux Mers co-operative Cave de Rauzan to produce the wines.

Lying at 45 degrees latitude, Bordeaux is considered relatively northerly and Château Berjuquey enjoys long ripening hours during the summer and the strong influences of the moderating maritime climate. Working within the Caves de Rauzan group, vines are managed sustainably and vinification is in partnership with the winemakers at Rauzan. Traditional Bordeaux wine-making practices are adopted.

Great with juicy red steak and BBQ meats.
