Remarkable intensity on the nose, with rare notes of apricot, pineapple and peach. Hints of white pepper and red fruits reveal themselves on the second nose. The attack is round with very elegant tannins. The wine is wonderfully smooth and velvety in texture, with exceptional length, reinforced by a strong aromatic finish.

This Second Growth has produced a really complex wine in 2014. It is really well-balanced and displays a nice tannic structure. An exuberant and open nose displays juicy red fruits and a racy floral edge. The palate offers good acidity, juicy fruit, and grippy tannins complete the picture. There is decent aging potential here, but it is already showing a depth of flavour and racy freshness at this young age. It is a wine of great potential, with good length, volume of fruit and really considered. The 2014 is an impressive effort.

Beautiful finesse on the nose. Scents of cassis, with pepper, confit blackberries, cocoa beans. Everything underlining menthol and graphite hints. The attack is full and round with a very dense mid palate and a long and powerful finish. The tannins are bold and have remarkable precision. Great balance for this rich and full bodied wine.

Two elements helped the Cabernet Sauvignon to reach the level of a great vintage in 2014 : the grapes grew less after the rain in the summer and they began ripening earlier. The extension of the ripening cycle, due to their growth stopping earlier than the Merlot, allowed them to benefit magnificently from the sunny late summer season.

The high quality Merlot from the plateau, incorporated in smaller quantities than usual, provided an excellent complement to the blend bringing roundness and aromatic richness.
