This wine has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. A wine with an enveloping flavour and strong personality. It has a delicate bouquet with fruity and floral notes, such as exotic fruit, peach and hints of rose. On the palate, it is fresh, harmonious, savoury and well balanced.

Masso Antico Verdeca Chardonnay, a blend of verdeca grapes, from the Itria Valley, and chardonnay grapes. The grapes are cultivated according to the methods of the organic agriculture and are picked up only manually during the month of September, undergo a selection process. After the pressing procedure and the destemming, the must and the skin of the grapes remain in contact for some hours at low temperatures, in order to enhance the aromas and scents. This is followed by fermentation and maturation process in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. 

In the heart of Salento, the organic vineyard of Tenute Masso Antico was acquired by Schenk Italian Wineries in 2021.

70 hectares intended for the cultivation of typically regional vines and the production of the Masso Antico line.

This wine is perfect paired with fish dishes, vegetables and fresh cheeses.
