Elegant, dry & unoaked; nice pinkish light salmon colour. Aromas and flavours of citrus, grapefruit and red fruits, with a light, fresh, moreish finish.
Matua wine is enjoyed in New Zealand and around the world - but it wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Bill and Ross Spence. Armed with lots of Kiwi ingenuity and determination, these brothers set out to revolutionise the New Zealand wine industry. Ultimately, when they produced New Zealand's first Sauvignon Blanc, they changed the way the world drinks Sauvignon Blanc.
They have now transferred their skills to producing other varietals, this time a Rosé, using Pinot Noir grapes.
It is produced and bottled in New Zealand at the winery, aka ‘estate bottled’ capturing the full fresh flavour produced.
Drink with a grilled calamari or chicken in a spicy tomato sauce. Would also suit Paella, Tapas or simply on its own!
