All the classics of a good Italian dry wine with aromas of ripe peach, pear and mineral notes.

The history of the San Lorenzo company began back in 1890, when the great-grandfather's family decided to establish a winery in the beautiful hills of Teramo. The vineyards of the farm are located just 20 km from Gran Sasso (this is the highest mountain of the Apennine Peninsula, located at an altitude of 3000 meters above sea level). On the other side of the plots at a distance of 20 km is the sea coast. Such a successful exposure of the vineyards - between the sea and the mountain - provides the necessary temperature contrast, and the sea breeze provides good ventilation, preventing the appearance of mold and other diseases. Even the local soil has a unique combination of characteristics: a clay-limestone layered structure that is abundantly irrigated by underground springs and streams that descend from the mountain.

Today San Lorenzo is the largest family-style wine farm in the province of Teramo, covering 150 hectares on a single large plot that stretches on the tops of three hills. Between the geometric rows of vines nestled three small lakes, whose intense color reflects the clear blue sky on cloudless days. However, modernity requires more than a long history, loyalty to tradition, a good climate and land, and picturesque landscapes. Therefore, the company decided to apply advanced winemaking practices and innovations, for example, using only "wild" yeast, constant temperature control of the fermentation process and aging stage, use of a vacuum press and cryo-maceration technology.

Vineyards with calcareous-clay soils, planting density of 2800-4500 vines / ha, are located at an altitude of 200-300 meters above sea level. Harvested in September. The berries are freed from the ridges and carefully chopped, and then gently pressed. The obtained juice is purified from suspended particles by the method of static sedimentation at low temperatures overnight. Then the purified juice is placed in steel tankers, sown with selected yeast cultures and alcoholic fermentation begins, the temperature of which does not exceed 15 ° C.

It’s ideal with seafood hors d’oeuvres, fish, fresh cheeses and white meat dishes.
