La Tour Figeac is located in a prime spot of Saint-Émilion. The prestigious Château Cheval Blanc sits to the east and Château Figeac is just south – so it’s in good company for producing some of the finest reds on the Right Bank. Christine Derenoncourt has been in charge of winemaking for over 20 years. She works biodynamically and adds Cabernet Franc to the mostly Merlot Grand Vin. The blend is aged in 50% new oak, partially on the lees, for 18 months. It’s a wine renowned for its freshness and finesse, so it's no wonder this excellent vintage scooped 94 points from Wine Enthusiast magazine. Expect ripe strawberry and plum flavours with hints of fresh herbs and smoky spice. It’s elegant and silky, so pair it with succulent roast beef.
