Pale gold colour. Subtle floral fragrances mixed with notes of citrus on a well-shaped minerality. Hints of vanilla. Excellent volume and power. Precise but with a lot of energy. Fine minerality on the solidly long finish that displays a hint of bitter lemon.
After a very cold winter and a demanding spring, the hot summer was regularly interrupted by rainy intervals which early September gave way to a bright and warm weather, that speeded up the maturation of the grapes. Harvest began in the last days of September under a bright sunshine. Careful vinfications and aging have helped to tame the outstanding acidity of the Chardonnays. Aging in oak (demi-muids)
"Les Clos" is one of the most famous Grands Crus of Chablis. The area of production covers 24.75 ha. The vines selected by Chanson are ideally located right in the heart of the plot. The upper part of the plot brings the minerality and the lower part with alluvion deposits gives the rich character of this wine.
Pair with foie gras, shellfish, fish, white meat as well as some goat cheeses.
