Christmas Tasting 2025

A walk round tasting, with lots of friendly and knowledgeable advice. With lots of wines to try, your festive drinking will be sorted!

About this experience

Whisper it....but (at the time of writing!) there are only 64 days until Christmas! It is definitely time to think about which wines to enjoy with your Christmas roast or to start preparing for gift buying. So let us give you a helping hand and join us to walk through a line-up of delicious wines – from the pocket friendly to the oh...why not, it’s Christmas!

With lots of wines to try, including Champagne, sparkling, red, white, dessert wines and fortified wines your Christmas drinking will be sorted!

This year we are holding a more intimate affair in our Walter Road store. This will be a walk round tasting - grab a glass and a brochure, approach a table and taste away! There will be canapés served throughout the evening.

What is a walk round tasting? In short, you taste and walk-round from table to table. On arrival, you are handed a glass, pen and tasting booklet. You are free to taste at your leisure. Follow the running order if you wish or cherry pick your favourites!

Please note: These are e-bookings only. No physical tickets will be sent. Just turn up on the night with your confirmation email (or even the name the booking is under).

Tasting rules

We strongly promote responsible drinking. By attending the tasting you are agreeing to abide by these common-sense procedures.

Entry is for 18 and over. If you look under 21 you will be asked for ID so please bring some. Failure to show age identifying ID when asked means we will not refund your ticket if you are not allowed in.

Drink better, drink less. There is only one session so its not a race, pace yourself so you can enjoy the tasting.

Drink water and stay hydrated.

Samples are to be poured by the exhibitors into the glass you receive on entry and no other vessel. We have a duty of care to our attendees and exhibitors will refuse to pour samples to anyone displaying signs of drunkenness.

Should anyone be inebriated, become disruptive, or display offensive or anti-social behaviour towards other guests, exhibitors or staff they will be asked to leave and will not be readmitted.
