Germany's most northern brewery, Flensburger, is located on the shores of the Baltic near the Danish border and is the world's biggest user of flip top bottles; hence their advertising strap line being 'Plop!'

The brewery is still operating its own water well, supplied by an underground vein of melting Ice Age water sourced from Scandinavia.
