Eve is pure, tempting, and undeniably Washington State. With fresh, fruity flavors and a crisp, bright mouth feel reminiscent of Washington State’s famous apples, this dry Chardonnay has been winning awards ever since its grapes left the garden. Some say Adam and Eve taught the rest of us about good and evil. Which explains how, today, we know damn well that our Eve Chardonnay is wickedly good.
True to Chardonnay. Dry, creamy and smooth, with a multitude of flavors and aromas. Asian pears, Honey Crisp apple, and lemon curd with minerality that takes this heavenly wine to the next level.
Winemaking is the new rock and roll. Or in Charles Smith’s case it is the new Danish Thrash Metal. Charles spent a decade in Europe managing various bands you’ll never have heard of (unless you mis-spent your youth in disused warehouses near the Copenhagen ring road) before seeing the light and heading to Washington State to plant vines.
Fast-forward a dozen vintages or so and Charles still has the hair, the t-shirts and the attitude of his music days but has replaced the guitar pick for a corkscrew and the Jack Daniels for some supremely elegant Riesling and Syrah.
Whole cluster pressed, fermented on lees, 20% malolactic fermentation, 30% native primary fermentation. Aged for 4 to 5 months, sur lie, no new oak
Try it with roasted squash and sauteed prawns
