From the cellars of Maison Jaffelin underneath the Notre Dame church in Beaune, this deep almost black in colour Pommard has a highly aromatic bouquet which shows intense notes of blackcurrant, musk and game meat. The high tannins are matched with a well defined acidity.
Founded in 1816, the house of Jaffelin is now considered one of the smallest of the great houses of Burgundy. Jaffelin vinifies and ages wines in the historic centre of Beaune in the prestigous cellars of the Chapter of our Lady of the twelth century.
