Brash Higgins MCC Mataro/Cinsault/Carignan is a unique and bold red wine blend crafted from a combination of three distinct grape varietals. Mataro, also known as Mourvèdre, brings deep, intense flavours of dark fruit and spice, while Cinsault adds a layer of bright, juicy red fruit notes. Carignan contributes a rustic earthiness and a touch of acidity. Each grape varietal is carefully selected and blended to create a harmonious and complex wine with layers of flavour. Brash Higgins, based out of Southern Australia, is a creation of Brad Hickey and Nicole Thorpe. Brad, nicknamed "Brash" by Australian pruners, brought his interest in food and wine and the experience of having worked in the US and Australia to the table. Nicole had a vineyard named Omensletter, with Cabernet, Sauvignon, Shiraz varieties of grapes planted in 1997. When the two met in 2007, Australia was reeling under drought, affecting the Omensletter vineyard.
