You can’t get more ‘Martinborough’ than TK. The wine region of Martinborough is located at the foot of New Zealand’s North Island at a latitude of 40 degrees south. Here, a happy coincidence of geology and geography has created the perfect climate and terrain for Pinot Noir and aromatic wines. We have six vineyards here each offering their own distinctive characteristics; suited to different varieties and clones, grown and tended in different ways. This means we can develop a magic blend of the best possible grapes from each vineyard to consistently create quality, premium wines for you to enjoy. Our vineyards are positioned to maximise the conditions that make Martinborough the perfect place to grow wine. Steeped in history, the vineyards of Te Kairanga are planted on John Martin’s (Martinboroughs Founder) original land, where you can also find the Cellar Door (today known as The Cottage) which was built in the late 1800’s to house his senior stockman. New owner Bill Foley of Foley Family Wines NZ Limited has a clear vision for the future – to be producing benchmark Pinot Noirs.
