Dark stone fruit, cedar, currant leaf on the nose, palate is generous and ripe tuned. Blueberries and spices, great tannic frame and acid lift too. Complex and long. The high altitude of the vineyard allows for the green pepper notes to be very soft, elegant and subtle. A beautiful example of how this Bordeaux varietal expresses itself in Valle de Uco. Ripe red and black fruits with hints of fresh bell peppers and herbs.
Aged in French Bordeaux style barrels for approximately 12 months.
The Alpasión Winery was founded by a group of wine lovers who decided to make a wine making dream come true. Passion is the driving force behind the project hence we decided to name our inaugural release “Alpasión,” a combination of the Spanish “alma” (for soul) and “pasión” (passion). The Alpasión label features the fingerprints and signatures of all of the winery’s owners. Underlining a highly personal, hands-on project, a partnership driven by passion and friendship for life.
A perfect synergy of both the old and new world.
