Excellens Cuvee Especial Crianza is a wine from Rioja made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. This Excellens Cuvee Crianza was created by Marques de Caceres to bring a new and a more modern approach to Rioja wine-making that is more fruit-forward while retaining its distinctive characteristics of  the old with the fine woods protecting its careful ageing.The vines of this Rioja has been carefully selected in the area of Cenciero (Rioja Alta), from both high and cool plots as well as lower areas close to the village. Therefore this Cuvee Crianza offers a wide range of characteristics in keeping with the diverse geography of the area. 14 months is spent in new medium-toasted barrels, made of French and American oak providing a mild complexity and tasty tannins.

This Rioja Crianza matches many foods ranging from Lasagne to Welsh Lamb.
