The first sip of Beyond The River Chardonnay reveals a delightful balance between fruit flavours and acidity. The tropical fruit medley from the nose translates beautifully onto the palate, offering a burst of juicy sweetness balanced by a refreshing acidity. The wine displays a medium body, with a creamy texture that adds a touch of weight and richness. The oak influence, if any, remains subtle, complementing the fruit profile without overwhelming it.
Andrew Peace Wines is a family-owned and operated winery on a vineyard of 180 hectares located near the Murray River. The family have worked hard on sustainability, recycling wastewater, generating energy from solar panels and planting 15,000 trees.
This Chardonnay (with a touch of Semillon) is made from the vineyard's finest grapes. The range is styled to have a touch of elegance and depth of character and the grapes are grown in clay soils reminiscent of Burgundian soil. This wine has also spent some time in French oak.
This wine is fresh and rich, full of tropical fruit flavours (pineapple! Melon! Pear!) which pair well with spicier dishes.
