Lovely fresh red fruited nose, very delicious damson and ripe black cherry, a charming wine with a long finish and soft ripe tannins.

After a cold winter and a mild spring, the weather conditions in Summer were ideal with cold nights and warm days and enabled a perfect maturation of the grapes. The harvest started early September under a bright sunshine. The red wines develop beautiful aromas of ripe red and black berries with a fleshy texture. Aging in oak casks during 16 months.

"Les Marconnets" are located in the Northern hint of the Appelation Beaune 1er Cru. The name of this vineyard referred to the german tribe "Marcomans". Chanson owns 4 ha, i.e, 40% of the vineyard.

To be enjoyed with white or red meat, grilled or roasted, games and all sorts of cheeses especially all the cheeses produces in Burgundy (Epoisses, Langres, Citeaux, Ami du Chambertin).
