Dense, vibrant and youthful in appearance, with well-integrated characters. The wine is beautifully perfumed, with violets, cherries, red berries and gentle vanilla oak notes. The palate has a fresh burst of blackcurrant followed by a delicious ripe blueberry character. Tannins are poised, building to the finish, where there are hints of liquorice.
From vineyards planted in 1996. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrel and is then aged in American and French oak for 10 months before spending sometime in bottle.
Great with albondigas, ox tongue, traditional dishes.
