This wine is the colour of white or yellow gold or straw coloured with gently glowing silvery or greenish highlights. To the nose, its aromas suggest broom, white roses, acacia, honeysuckle, fern, verbena, lemon grass, and citrus fruits (grapefruit, mandarin oranges). In the mouth, the finish adds nuances of pine, quince and fennel.
This wine is fresh and luscious as well as dry and well fruited. It has good concentration backed by sufficient acidity to ensure their keeping qualities.
From 1990 to today, the estate has continued to expand. The Fichet estate now owns a 30-hectare vineyard, including 22 hectares of Chardonnay, 5 hectares of Pinot Noir, 2 hectares of Gamay, and 1 hectare of Aligoté.
We find the different grape varieties on the two hillsides surrounding the estate. Thus, on the south-east facing hillside (rising sun), with its clay-limestone soil, we mainly find Pinot Noir, Gamay, as well as Aligoté, and a few new plots of Chardonnay. On the south-west hillside, with its chalky clay-limestone soil, we find only Chardonnay.
A fine wine for appetizers as well as for fish and prepared starters.
