This wine is made from 100% Barbera grapes, which are hand-harvested from the estate-owned vineyards. "Fides", faith in Latin, expresses the great passion and faith that the Pio Family has and has always had for Barbera grown in the Barolo area. It was a true act of faith to want to plant Barbera in our Colombaro vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba, where instead we could have planted Nebbiolo and made it into a large Barolo.

Vinification takes place in steel with maceration on the skins for about 25 days and refining immediately after racking, large wooden living room for about 18 months and in small barrels.

Excellent companion to the tastiest Piedmontese cuisine, from boiled mixed meat to “bagna caoda” of anchovies and garlic, it is appreciated throughout the world along with cured meats, cooked and raw, stewed meats, medium-aged fatty cheeses.
