Dark mahogany with reddish notes when swirled in the glass. On the nose, this sweet wine is intense and wide, notes of aged oak, coffee and toasted caramel. On the palate, it is very dense and rich with silky notes that are reminiscent of dates and marmalade.

Old wine from one of the oldest and most mythical solerade Pedro Ximenez of the winery, started in 1910. Elaborated, like the rest of the sweet wines of Pedro Ximenez de Alvear, from grapes passionate to the sun, with oxidative aging by the system of criaderas and soleras. But of the elegance and history of this liquid jewel, only a few punctual sacks are made every five years.

Founded in 1729, Bodegas Alvear is one the most prestigious and oldest family run wineries in the world. It is the second oldest winery in Spain and the oldest in Andalucía. Focused on producing the finest wines in Andalucía from the Pedro Ximénez grape, the current 8th generation of the family upholds the tradition established by Diego de Alvear y Escalera several centuries ago.
