Baigorri Garnacha is a red wine from the IO Rioja produced by Bodegas Baigorri. Baigorri is a modern winery. It was built with the idea that all movements of both the grape and wine should be carried by gravity, without using any mechanics. The grapes come from the first floor and travel by gravity to floor -7, which is the aging room, whilst completing all steps of the process. Baigorri Garnacha is a varietal Grenache, made with grapes from very old vines with low production. The grapes are selected grain by grain using sorting tables. They are de-stemmed and macerated uncrushed at a controlled temperature. Baigorri Garnacha spends 14 months aging in new French oak barrels and subsequently ages in the bottle in which the wine ends its process.
