The combination of the Mediterranean climate and mixture of clay and limestone soils topped with galet pebbles, help create a truly impressive range of superb value French Country wines.

Very cool and limited edition Bib’Art wine barrels from award-winning Chateau Puech-Haut. Bib’Arts are 3L painted wine barrels made by local French artists. Each unique barrel is made from sheet metal which is then stamped and numbered so they are incredibly collectable. The wine is of exceptional quality and perfect for a special occasion. This is a true meeting of wine and art! 

The Bib'art adventure began in 2000, when Château Puech Haut imagined a designer 3L rosé wine container that could proudly sit in the centre of a table.

The Château then decided to give carte blanche to international artists of all backgrounds and graphic styles to decorate the estate's wooden barrels. For the duration of the work, they share the same wooded "canvas". The decorations are then printed on the small metal barrels containing the wine pouch.

The Bib'Art Puech-Haut barrels are thus exact replicas of the barrels painted by the artists, a dreamlike sharing between wine and art. Each barrel is signed and numbered to the delight of collectors. In exchange, the artists receive the quantity of wine contained in the barrel: the contents against the container!

More than a hundred artists have already participated in this crazy adventure. 

Originally, estate-owner Gérard Bru decided to customise real oak barrels, leaving each artist the freedom to express their creativity. These Bib'Arts are mini metal 3L barrels faithfully reproduced using the original model. Under vacuum and protected from light, these stylish barrels have a life of 4 weeks once opened.

Perfect as an aperitif or with seafood, shellfish and poultry dishes.
