Cadus Appellation Tunuyan Pinot Noir has notes of cherry and cinnamon spice on the nose. Fresh herbal notes add complexity and elegance to the wine. Well balanced acidity and a soft persistence in the mouth make this a delicious wine with a fresh finish. From a low-yield vineyard located at 1400 m.a.s.l, of alluvial soil, with native vegetation over crop. Cool nights give a balanced maturity expressing the typicity of high-altitude Pinot Noir. Fermented with a percentage of stems in open top tanks. 50% of this wine was ages in for 12 months in French oak barrels of different uses and sizes.
Cadus is a perfectly formed winery near Tupungato, in the shadow of the Andes Mountains, within the Uco Valley. This high altitude region has quickly built a reputation as the home of premium Mendozan wines and the Cadus range is no exception. The soil profiles and compositions within the Uco Valley vary within short distances, allowing for different grape varieties and resulting in wines styles with unique characteristics.
