Golden yellow with green hues, this wine shows great intensity on the nose. Fruity aromas of pineapple and pear are accompanied by citrus and mineral notes ending with a few soft touches of toasted bread. The palate is balanced and mineral, with a beautiful acidity, enhancing the flavours on the palate. Good persistence on the mouth, with great freshness and vivacity.
From Santa Marta Vineyard in Casablanca Valley.
The cool-climate coastal region of Casablanca was even cooler than average in 2018. In some cases this meant that the grapes were harvested a full month later than in 2017. Slower ripening however meant very high-quality grapes with complex flavour profiles were harvested, producing elegant wines.
80% fermented in stainless steel tanks and 20% in barrels of second and third use using a mixture of native and selected yeasts. 20% of the wine was aged in old barrels for 4 months.
Great with grilled cod.
