Light and delicate, with a soft, rounded and slightly off dry palate; it combines nutty flavours with soft tropical notes and fresh acidity on the finish.

One of Portugal's largest and most progressive producers with 600 hectares spread across estates in five regions from Douro in the north to Alentejo in the south. Winemaker Francisco Antunes oversees what must be one of the most diverse ranges in Europe, from the 3rd largest Portuguese rose brand (Casal Mendes) to some of the country's most impressive premium reds from estates in Douro, Dao, Bairrada and Alentejo. Arguably, Francisco's greatest achievements lie between these extremes, a range of mid-priced wines from native varieties, full of character, quite distinctly Portuguese, but at the same time approachable and with fresh, modern fruit.

Produced from two of the most important varietals in the Vinho Verde region, Pederna, Azal as well as Loureiro.

Fermentation at 16 º C for 7 days in stainless steel.

The perfect accompaniment with seafood and grilled fish. A summer favourite!

A great Vinho Verde

A great vinho verde. Very drinkable, light, refreshing and with a slight fizz.

Great service

Wine arrived but was rose instead of white. Very prompt customer service which ensured the wine was collected and new box shipped immediately. I think a review which shares how the company responds when there has been a mistake it so useful.

Casal Mendes

We used to drink a lot of Vinho Verde when we lived in Hong Kong and visited Macau. It was great to drink there and this one brought back lots of memories. I must drop by and pick up another couple of bottles

Great tasting young Portuguese wine with just a slight sparkle.
Nd John delivery was swift and hassle free. One bottle in the case was showing slight signs of leak, was replaced within a day no problems and very efficient. Definitely would use ND John for further wine purchases
