This cuvée develops aromas of red currant and strawberry highlighted with citrus. This is a gorgeous and elegant rose with raspberries, oyster shells, salted almonds, olives and some herbs. Long and persistent with very fine bubbles. Saline and vinous.
The history of the Maison de Venoge began in 1837 when Henri-Marc de Venoge founded the Maison de Champagne de Venoge in the French commune of Mareuil-sur-Ay. A man of innate entrepreneurial skills, de Venoge was the creator of the first ever illustrated label in the history of Champagne, in 1838. And again; when the Maison chose the blue ribbon of the Knights of the Order of the Holy Spirit as its emblem, it gave birth to one of the most iconic labels ever, the Cordon Bleu. The Maison de Venoge has been a worldwide ambassador for Champagne for 180 years with refined products of absolute excellence. Alongside the Maison's iconic Champagne, the cuvée Princes, created in 1858 in honour of the Dutch royal house, stand out for their elegant bottle reminiscent of the decanters used by European aristocracy to serve Champagne in the early 20th century. At the top of the range, the cuvée Louis XVis made exclusively from grapes from the best Grand Cru villages and only in the best vintages.
Maison de Venoge resurrects the legendary Cuvée des Princes, created in 1864 by Joseph de Venoge as a tribute to the Princes of Orange. Its elegant decanter recalls the habits of the great European aristocracy of the early 20th century, who decanted champagne in crystal bottles.
The careful selection of Pinot Noir vineyard from the Grande and Petite Montagne de Reims brings minerality and righteousness, while the selected plots from Riceys bring the richness to this great wine of Champagne.
Marvelous for the aperitif, this champagne is also delicious when served with a lobster and salmon.
De Venoge Princesse Rose comes in an elegant gift box.
