The most classical of the Deutz cuvees is far from mundane. The three different champagne grapes are blended in equal and unchanging proportions, ensuring it shows perfect harmony. Its golden color scintillates in the glass, with a fine stream of bubbles rising gracefully to the surface. The first impressions on the nose are mellow and reminiscent of acacia flowers, confectionery, Reinette apples and brioche. The wine then gains in volume and its silky texture reveals a successful balance between the freshness of Chardonnay, the fruitiness and structure of Pinot Noir and a touch of vinosity from the Pinot Meunier.
Deutz Brut Classic is the first Champagne crafted each year. Year after year, the finesse of its blend is recreated, seeking a balance that is true to the spirit of the champagne. Precise, refined and silky smooth, Brut Classic reveals a singular personality, a combination of subtlety, purity, and harmony. Its enduring, well-defined and elegant signature unites crystalline freshness, aromatic complexity and graceful intensity, in the purest Deutz tradition.
Nestled into the slopes of the famous vineyards of Aÿ, France are the picturesque stone buildings of Champagne Deutz, founded a century and a half ago by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann. Today, Deutz upholds the traditions of fine champagne-making handed down through five generations. Owning a significant portion of its own vineyards, Deutz selects only top quality grapes from 275 acres of vineyards in the finest crus of Champagne. The wines are slowly and carefully aged in Deutz’ chalk-walled cellars far beneath the historic village of Aÿ. One of the oldest members of Champagne’s prestigious association of Grands Marques houses, Champagne Deutz has been making distinctive champagnes characterized by finesse, elegant vinosity and complexity since 1838.
