Palate: Soft attack, powerful and structured wine, saline and mineral. Nose: fruity, with aromas of citrus, exotic fruits and honey.
The terraced vineyards of Château Maison Blanche extend over 7.5 hectares on a 35 to 40% steep slope. The stony soil, 60 to 70% of which is gravel, is enriched by alluvial deposits rich in sediments from Alpine erosion. The combination of limestone formed several million years ago and more recent alluvial deposits from the Rhône gives Château Maison Blanche wines their incomparable personality and distinctive character.
Critic tasting note: (2020 vintage) "Yellow with green reflections. Smells of lychee, a little dried mango and candied rosebuds. Delicate but supple on the palate, with a fine, sweet herbal spiciness and notes of brioche and mace. Elegant, harmonious Savagnin to accompany a meal." - Falstaff
