Pale straw. Tight and bright with peach and floral notes carried on a weighty yet fresh palate of wild honey & lemon.
Two premium vineyards were chosen for their intense varietal flavour and machine harvested in the cool of the night
Good rains during winter and early spring allowed for good fruitfulness and healthy vines at the beginning of the growing season. A cooler than usual ripening period enabled good varietal flavours. Rain during late spring and summer increased the disease pressure but with good viticultural practices and selective harvesting we were able to begin vintage albeit about 2 weeks later than what has become the norm in recent times.
Once fermentation was complete the wine was matured on fine yeast lees over 5 months in Stainless Steel to build palate weight & add texture. Before finally blending with Chardonnay to add extra lift to the fruit & overall balance.
Full flavoured and crisp wine deserves fish or white meat or robust salad!
