First drank this oloroso in a superb north African restaurant in Jerez. Clearly in the two weeks we stayed in this town we tried many sherries and visited many warehouses (bodegas). This one stuck out in my memory. I understand the owner is Norwegian (?). It is certainly not sweet, but not as dry as a fino, but is dry on the pallet. Sometimes oloroso's can be too much of the ripe raisin and flavours of Christmas, but this, in opinion, if far more refined and subtle. Can be drunk on its own, but far better with cheese and savoury nibbles. My choice for Christmas day this year. Thoroughly chilled and soft cheeses at the ready.
