This well-structured blend has the same characteristics you have come to expect from The Big Easy, rich dark fruit flavours with a touch of oak, and soft tannins that lead to a long lengthy finish. In the glass the wine is opaque purple in colour. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry, plum, boysenberry, vanilla, baking spices, smoked chocolate, anise. Flavours of blueberry, blackberry, dark chocolate, plum, smoked meat, vanilla. Aged 19 months in 10% new French & American oak.

A rich and decadent blend of 57% Syrah, 24% Petite Sirah, 19% Grenache. Fruit comes from 82% Rodney’s Vineyard, 16% Camp Four Vineyard, 1% Thompson Vineyard all in the Santa Ynez Valley, 1% Stagecoach Vineyard in the Napa Valley. With The Big Easy we wanted to pay homage to one of our favourite cities, a culinary mecca and great supporters of our wines, New Orleans.

Founded in 1989, the Fess Parker winery is located in Santa Barbara County, the Californian wine region made famous by the cult movie Sideways.

Just 90 minutes north of LA, Santa Barbara County is one of California’s most diverse viticultural regions. Sta. Rita Hills, in particular, is arguably the most exciting wine region in the world for making cool climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir right now.
