A single vineyard wine from the Finca La Lomabana in Ribera del Queiles, with intriguing characters of black fruit and tapenade – an unusual yet appealing combination.
Interesting aromas of black fruit, tar, and an unusual yet appealing black olive character! The palate is vibrant and juicy with more ripe black fruit balanced by spice, toasty oak and bright acidity.
The predominantly Syrah grapes are grown on the pebbly dry soils around the village of Vierlas, which lies between Rioja, Navarra and Aragon. Average age of the vines is 10 years. Fermented in stainless steel, then aged in 30% French and 70% American oak for 6 months. Ages a further 6 months in bottle before release.
Match with pasta and vegetable risotto, or white meats.
