A 100% Tempranillo from Spain's Toro region and is named after the city which attempted to resist Roman rule.
Deep dark bright red with light ruby tones.
Both intense and complex, there are several layers of aromatics in this lively nose: first some extremely intense notes of red and black fruits (black sherries, raspberries, redcurrants and cassis), perfectly integrated with sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper) vanilla and toasted characters.
Impressive fruit expression, concentrated and velvety tannins, leading to a velvety and lively full body mouthfeel. Long and elegant on the finish with an extremely wide range of aromas, like dark fruits, cocoa, toasted and spicy notes, highlights the complexity and handcraft character of this wine.
Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, rich flavours of blackberry, chocolate and spice, leave a long and memorable finish.
Enjoyable immediately, the wine will mellow with a further 10 years cellaring.
An instantly polished impression on the nose with lively dark plum and black cherry fruits swathed in spicy complexity. The texture is seamless, saturated in energetic dark plum fruit flavor. A great wine. Try from 2020.

This red is rich, yet remains lively, with bright berry and tangerine flavors mingling with currant, cocoa and toasty notes. Well-integrated tannins and citrusy acidity support the plush texture. Vibrant, in the modern style. Drink now through 2028.
