Excellent Rioja with dark berry aromas and flavours, attractive notes of vanilla and cedar wood with well-polished tannins.

Crianza aged with a very attractive nose of black berry fruits, raisins, oak, balsamic and toasted notes. Full flavoured yet elegant with dominant fruits of wild red, black and blue berries combined with balsamic, cedar wood and well polished soft tannins.

Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 deg C. Once clarified and filtered the wine is transferred to barrel and aged for 12 months in American oak barrels. This is followed by another 12 months in bottle before release.

Situated in the Baja district of Rioja Bodega Medievo`s vineyards enjoy a warmer drier more Mediterranean climate that some other parts of Rioja. The company was originally founded by four wine growing families with a view towards making good quality Rioja. Today the winery boasts state of the art facilities and is producing modern fruit driven styles of Rioja which are very much in tune with today`s changing tastes.
