This delightfully fresh white wine comes from high altitude vineyards grown in northern Peloponnese, in the area known as Patra. The grapes are planted on the terraced slopes overlooking the Corinthian gulf and receive plenty of cool breeze in the summer. As a result, the wines from this address are fresh and well-structured. Rouvalis Asprolithi shows delicate aromas of orchard fruits, quince, as well as citrus notes typical of the Roditis variety - a pink-skinned indigenous grape. The palate is light-bodied and vivid, with just a touch of minerality. The latter is a distinctive feature of wines from this part of Greece.
Rouvalis Asprolithi is a wonderful aperitif and a great match to fish and seafood. A truly charming wine from one of the most renowned Peloponnese producers, Rouvalis winery.
