A crisp, dry gin with a rich juniper flavour that makes a refreshing tasting of gin and tonics and the driest of dry martinis.
The secret recipe for Tanqueray has remained the same since 1830 and is known to only four people!
There are three dominant botanicals used in Tanqueray - Juniper, Angelica and Coriander. Out of the 500 Tuscan Juniper presented to the makers of Tanqueray, only the top 10% meet their high standards for distinctive aroma and flavour.
Tanqueray is distilled four times, unlike other gins, to create the purest spirit.
During the great air raid of 1941, the London distillery was completely destroyed, leaving only one of the original 18th-century pot stills "Old Tom" which is still used today. All Tanqueray gin is made at one distillery, at Cameronbridge, Scotland, so that the quality and the balanced flavour is always consistent.
The Tanqueray London Dry Gin bottle was designed to look like a classic three-part cocktail shaker and the design is unchanged since 1948.
