Held up to the light, La Grande Dame 2015 reveals a beautiful, golden robe that sparkles brightly.
This solar vintage, while elegant and precise, offers fresh minerality with light floral notes of jasmine and acacia on the nose, which evolve into fruity notes of pear and clementine.
As for the first sip, it envelops the palate with a delightfully subtle, silky texture.
2015 was a very warm vintage. When we harvested people were talking about a great vintage in Champagne because we were thinking about 1976. Some of them were thinking about 1947. It was very sunny, very warm, which is very interesting because it gives a lot of roundness and generosity. But it can be also very challenging when you want to keep the energy of La GrandeDame and you have this very warm and very generous vintage at the same time. You need to find the balance. That's what you get right now when you taste the 2015, I think you notice that energy first and then you can feel the sun and the warmness of the vintage.
La Grande Dame 2015 and Garden Gastronomy - a new, gastronomic experience inspired by La Grande Dame. A gastronomy straight from the garden. “Grands Crus” vegetables for Grands Crus grapes. Both assertive and sustainable in its luxury, Garden Gastronomy expresses itself through inverted dishes, where vegetables and fruits centre stage, while meat and fish are prepared like condiments.
"La Grande Dame 2015 is an exceptional sunny vintage for a wine full of tension and elegance. It reveals this great wine’s verticality thanks to the Pinot Noirs harvested from our historical Grands Crus”. - Didier Mariotti, Veuve Clicquot Cellar Master
