Crunchy, hedgerow fruit with fine balance, medium, well-judged tannins, very drinkable and fresh on the finish.

AOP Cérons is one of the oldest Bordeaux ACs but possibly one of the least known. It is a small enclave in the Graves region with a specific microclimate enabling the production of botrytis affected dessert wines as well as dry red & white Graves. Xavier & Caroline Perromat took over the running of the 18th century Château (in the heart of the small village of Cérons) and the 26 hectare estate from his parents in 2012. Viticulture is sustainable; wine-making is precise producing wines with a fine minerality and balance. The vineyards are on a plateau of gravel over limestone overlooking the river Garonne. Château Calvimont comes from specific plots which have always belonged to the estate; the Marquis de Calvimont was the owner in the late 18th century.

Hand harvested in October, fermentation in thermo-regulated vats followed by the malo in cement cuves. Aging is in a mix of oak and cuve for 12 months.
