Pale yellow-greenish colour. Good aromatic intensity where we discover fruits such as mango, peach and grapefruit mixed with spicy and herbaceous notes. The entry on the palate is enveloping, with an elegant passage and a very balanced finish between acidity and bitterness typical of the variety. The aftertaste is long and fruity.
Finca Vallejo Rueda is a Verdejo wine made with grapes from vineyards located at an altitude of 720 m above sea level in sandy and clay soils. The 2023 vintage, marked by drought and high temperatures, began on September 20, resulting in a fresh and balanced wine. With controlled fermentation in stainless steel, it stands out for its fruity and citrus aromas, and a vibrant and persistent palate.
The grapes that went into making Finca Vallejo Verdejo 2023 came from the best vineyards owned by the winery in the Rueda, La Seca and Alaejos areas. The bunches were harvested by hand at night to ensure that the grapes arrived at the winery in best possible condition. The aim of the winemaking process was to preserve and enhance the variety's characteristic primary aromas by means of gentle pressing and fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks.
CVNE’s versatility has enabled it to expand into the Castile region, where it established Bodega Bela. The name of this firm is a tribute to the daughter of one of its founders and the great-grandmother of CVNE's current managers: Sofía, known to the family as Bela. It's a cutting-edge winery with a surface area of 6,000 m2 and a large barrel cellar.
Following this acquisition, the CVNE group now have 7 wineries, all underpinned by the principles that have earned it such success in Rioja. Careful, artisanal winemaking and a family tradition that has positioned it among the best wineries in the world.
A perfect accompaniment to white meats, fish, seafood, pâtés and, of course, as an aperitif.
